Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Travel Visa?
A travel visa is a document issued by a foreign country that provides permission for you to gain entry into that country. Most visas are issued onto pages within your passport. Some visas can be E-Visas (electronic visas) which are ultimately emailed to you after processing and confirmation. Some visas can be stamps that a country might issue upon arrival at an airport as you arrive/depart.
What is required to apply for the travel visa to the country that i am visiting?
While the specific requirements vary, most countries require that you submit recent photographs, complete an application form, and submit your actual passport. Your passport is required (in most cases) as the visa, if issued, is affixed to a blank visa page in your passport. Other documents can also be required such as a detailed travel itinerary, hotel confirmation, health information, and/or invitation letters. Frequent changes to visa requirements and regulations can cause difficulty for applicants trying to obtain a visa on their own. If you place an order with RSVP Travel Visas, we will contact you immediately to provide, and go over, the requirements for your specific visa request in detail.
what are the benefits of using rsvp travel visas as opposed to going to an Embassy or consulate to apply for a visa on my own?
Getting a visa can be a very complicated process and RSVP staff has the expertise to know precisely what is required to get you the document you need. Visiting a consulate or government agency often means standing in long lines or having to deal with limited hours of operation. In addition, our liaisons maintain close relationships with consular staff enabling us to process last minute requests that you may not be able to accomplish on your own.
what is the difference between rsvp travel visas and similar third party visa companies?
RSVP Travel Visas distinguishes itself within the Passport/Visa industry by providing VIP Concierge-Style service for all orders by default. Most companies charge a significant premium for the white glove service that we think all customers should receive in every case. Additionally, we take Customer Service to a higher level by offering Industry-Leading Availability. A real person answering the phone when you call right away (no robots or automated voices giving you the run around). We are open 7 Days a week, 12 hours per day and can be reached via Phone, Text Message, Live Chat, or Email. We also offer much lower costs than most competitors.
But how can you provide better service and at lower cost than competitors?
The largest visa companies within the Passport and Visa industry have large Corporate structures with huge headquarters and marketing budgets. The costs for those expenses is passed on to their clients in the form of hidden charges, and watered down service. We believe in putting our client first with a philosophy that great service for a great value will prove to be the best way forward.
how long does the visa process take?
Visa processing times vary depending on rules and procedures put in place by Embassy and/or Foreign Government decisions. Some visas can be processed in as little as one business day. Most visas can be finished within 1-2 weeks at the most. If you choose our service we will discuss with you early on about the processing times and any available options for Rush processing offered by an Embassy.
